Know. Adapt. Perform. Suayves Hydration Joins JWF at the Waterfront Blues Festival

If you’ve ever watched a musician load in at 8 a.m., play a blistering two-hour set under a blazing July sun, break down their gear, and then do it all over again the next day — you know that performing is physical work. Demanding, unglamorous, and often underestimated physical work. This July 4th weekend at the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Jeremy Wilson Foundation is proud to welcome Suayves Hydration as a Community Cares sponsor — and we think this partnership makes a lot of sense.

Not Your Average Hydration App

Suayves is a free mobile app — available on iOS and Android — that delivers real-time, personalized hydration guidance based on live environmental conditions. We’re not talking about a generic “drink eight glasses a day” reminder. Suayves factors in Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), humidity, sun exposure, wind, effort level, and individual physiology to give you a hydration plan that actually reflects what your body is dealing with right now.

That’s a meaningful distinction. A 90-degree day at an outdoor festival hits very differently depending on whether there’s a breeze off the river, whether you’re standing in direct sun or under a tent, and whether you’ve been hauling equipment for three hours or sitting at a merch table. Suayves accounts for all of that. No account required. No data collected. No ads.

Why This Matters for Musicians and Music Workers

The JWF Musician Health & Services Program (MHSP) exists because musicians and music industry workers face real, often overlooked health risks. Heat is one of them. Touring musicians, crew members, stagehands, sound engineers, and production staff routinely work outdoors in summer heat — loading docks, festival stages, and asphalt parking lots are not air-conditioned environments. The physical demands are real, and the consequences of dehydration — fatigue, impaired focus, heat exhaustion — don’t care whether you’re on a bicycle or on a stage.

Suayves was built with this in mind. The company is the Official Hydration Partner for Race Across America (RAAM) 2026, one of the most grueling endurance events in the world. The performance science behind supporting an ultraendurance cyclist across 3,000 miles translates directly to supporting a touring band across a 14-city summer run — or a sound crew working six outdoor festival stages over a holiday weekend.
