Forever Young – Happy Birthday, Bob!

Sunday, May 25, doors 7 pm show 8 pm at Mississippi Studios

As the title of the recent movie, “A Complete Unknown,” indicates, Bob Dylan remains a mystery in many ways.

But one thing we all agree on is this: He has written some of the most important music of the last 60 years. Some songs have rallied us, some have inspired us, many have touched our hearts.

After a long five-year pause, we’re thrilled to once again gather for the Bob Dylan Birthday Bash. Though we haven’t done this since 2019, the tradition remains close to our hearts—coming together to celebrate his genius, honor his towering influence on contemporary music, and, of course, share a few Dylan jokes along the way.

To celebrate, Lewi Longmire has engaged an exceptional group of musicians to perform their choices from among decades of Dylan compositions.

Lewi will be joined by Scott Law, Alela Diane, Anna Tivel, Merle Law, Megan Diana, Laith, Emily Love, Haley Johnsen, Leo Moon, Sallie Ford, Brad Parsons, Colin Hogan, Sammy Brue, Redwood Revue, members of Dadweed, Matt Mitchell, Lynna Corinne and more!

And, like in years past, the proceeds benefit The JWF’s Musician Health & Services Program. His efforts help support musicians and others in the local music industry when they need help most – during times when medical costs mount and illness prevents them from earning income.

We invite you to join Lewi to celebrate Bob Dylan’s birthday (Dylan was born May 24, 1941), and to honor his contributions to our world, puzzle over what goes on in his head, and enjoy songs that have shaped our lives and our culture.

8 p.m. Sunday, May 25 at Mississippi Studios, to benefit The JWF’s Musician Health & Services Program.
